Do I need Coaching or Counseling?

There’s a lot of overlap between coaching and counseling.

In fact, in the past 20 years, my therapy work included a lot of coaching work. Once the truama reactions are under control or resolved, a lot of the work is in helping people figure out how to move forward without repeating past patterns. Creating and reinforcing effective patterns is the very essence of coaching.

As part of my own life transition, I have decided to shift away from trauma therapy and into full-time coaching.

More specifically, I am coaching people to engage with their faith and their creativity more effectively.

That may or may not be what you need. Take a look at the graphic below to help discern whether you need therapy or if coaching is actually a better fit for this phase of your life.
